I read a book last semester called "Kimchi and Calamari". Author : Rose Kent.

Book Description : A boy going through Junior High ( i think ) who is trying to find his real Korean Mother as he lived with his super Italian-o adopted family.

Ch. 9 review

CHRISTMAS TIME! Their uncle jack visited and later they went to their relatives house for x-mas dinner. Scount and Jem got air rifles (Real ones. HARDCORE!!) and scout cut her hand on her cousins mouth (Yikes! ). This chapter was a little confusing, but also very good.

Ch. 8 review

This chapter was AWESOME! they made a snowman, a house caught on fire, and boo radely ( who is seen as crazy ) Gave Scout a blanket to keep her warm when she wasn't looking. I don't think there is anything bad about boo radely. he might be autistic ( spelling? ) or something.

Ch.7 Review

This chapter was very interesting. the knot-hole-in-the-tree thing was very creative and fun. i love how Jem told Scout not to cry. he was sweet about it, not yelling. i think he felt like he was going to cry, too.

Ch. 6 review

I loved this chapter!!! It was very imaginative and it made me smile. I thought it was funny how Jem lost his pants when he was trying to get away. He was stuck under a fence. XD

Ch. 5 review

This book is extremely interesting! i love how scout doesn't like being called a "Girl". I also like how she thinks that beating up people is the answer to everything. total tomboy.

Ch. 4 review

I am loving this book to death! (If that's even possible) I think that Jem can be pretty stupid sometimes. This book is a little creepy. L-U-V it! (To death)

Ch. 2 & 3 review

I enjoyed these chapters very much. i can tell that this is going to be a great book! i feel like i can relate to scout in a childish way : stubborn-ness, slight rebelion, and wanting everyone to know what things are and how they are done. i think it's strange how the teacher doesn't want scout to, well, learn. i think the dewey-decimal-system is terrible. if my kids had to do THAT, i'd homeschool them through first grade.

Ch. 1 review

The book seems like it has potential. it's almost like a ghost story in the first chapter. they used some confusing words like, "flivver". (luckily one of my friends helped me) This books seems worthy of reading. let's find out, shall we?
